The 12/2/2012 insurance article in the Charleston Post & Courier (postandcourier.com, under News and Special Reports) entitled Storm of Money probably strikes home for many of us. Have not many folks been subject to an insurance company’s apparent “dragging of their feet” before paying a claim? Or even a refusal to pay a claim that should be paid?

The article might make one feel helpless but there is one important possible solution. Buy your insurance from an independent insurance agent! Many independent agency owners have formed personal relationships with the “decision makers” at the companies they represent and can provide the much needed assistance you need at claims time.

At C. T. Lowndes & Company, the Lowndes and Silcox owners have establish such relationships with many of our insurance companies and we have been able to make a difference at expediting a claim payment. By presenting a well thought out, factual, and logical argument to the company claims manager or other company executive, the clients claim has been resolved to everyone’s satisfaction!

An independent insurance agent can be a valuable asset!!
